As President of a medium size cemetery, (7500 burials) I was concerned that our valuable records could be lost because of a disaster. I designed a program that protected these valuable records. This was done using DOS programming techniques. Since leaving that position the system has been reprogrammed using the latest techniques available. In my research I found that many smaller cemeteries do not have the funds to purchase software to properly protect their records, and have a functional Cemetery Management computer software system. Based on this research, our company has set up a pricing structure based on the amount of interments in a cemetery.
